We are seeking a Production Accountant/Excel Expert to review Feathertree Arts' cashflow forecasting workbook ahead of launch of storytelling app and business commercialisation. It's also an opportunity to build working relationship and work together on other financials as our multimedia production company grows.
You'd work fully remotely. We keep in contact via email or on our Discord server.
An understanding of accountancy preferred, or at least the basic principles; but this is not essential.
Right now, our Creative Director needs help working on a few important factors and formulas, and retrofitting of our cashflow forecasting workbook. It's a full company profit and loss sheet forecast for 10 years, with variable cells to model different scenarios. We have a list of the changes that we think might be needed at a formula level, but we would like a fresh pair of eyes on the whole forecast.
We're a highly collaborative team and we'd like to work with someone who is comfortable explaining their thinking and the changes made. The workbook will be used as part of business plan and pitch to investors and funders.
How This Role Helps
Our financial modelling needs to be credible for investment pitches and crowdfunding audiences. We have done a large amount of the work building our commercial model, forecasting our audience growth and OPEX, and we have put together a ten year forecast sheet. This short contract role acts as an independent reviewer, strengthening the sheet in a few key areas, challenging our assumptions, and finalising the sheet. Giving us confidence we need to pitch.
Pay
We are bootstrapping and have a tiny budget, and this is a one-off very short contract, estimated to be about 5 hours for someone with the right skills
There are also likely to be more paid opportunities in future as we commercialise and grow our productions, which would be on a job by job basis.
